Overview

The Saw Operator position involves measuring and cutting materials using a mechanical saw, while ensuring safety protocols are followed in a shop environment. The role requires the ability to read blueprints and manage materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut material with a mechanical saw
  • Identify structural steel and alloy
  • Read and understand blueprints and/or drawings
  • Lift and move materials to and from racks to equipment
  • Unload products received and load finished products for delivery
  • Perform other assigned work as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications
  • 2 years experience as a hem saw operator
  • Experience with safe practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Ability to work shift work
  • Mechanical saw operation experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate

  • Shift 1: Monday - Friday: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
