Overview

The Mobile Structural & Pipe Welding Technician role at Nordic Solutions involves nationwide travel to deliver expert welding services in high-consequence manufacturing environments, particularly in aerospace and advanced industrial settings. The position demands a commitment to quality, precision, and safety while working on critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Travel full-time to client sites nationwide.
• Deliver expert MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, Stick, and Submerged Arc welds to stringent specifications.
• Execute welding processes in strict accordance with WPS and applicable codes.
• Fit-up and weld to drawings, symbols, and tight tolerances.
• Perform visual inspections and meet both code and customer acceptance criteria.
• Select appropriate equipment, consumables, and filler metals for the job.
• Coordinate with fabrication, QA, and engineering to deliver on milestones.
• Keep accurate records and uphold best-in-class safety practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of verifiable experience across MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, Stick, and Submerged Arc welding.
• Current or prior qualifications with the ability to recertify.
• Strong command of welding codes, WPS, and quality standards.
• Confident reading drawings and weld symbols.
• Proficiency with carbon steel, stainless, and alloy materials preferred.
• Experience with ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, API 1104, AWS D1.1, NAVSEA, and other relevant codes preferred.
