Overview

The Container Shop Lead Tech is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installation of compactors and other stationary equipment, focusing on hydraulics, electrical operations, and welding fabrication. Republic Services, a leader in the environmental services industry, aims to create a more sustainable world through its comprehensive waste management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on compactors and other stationary equipment.
• Reads electrical schematics and diagnoses electrical problems using single and three phase AC voltage.
• Reads hydraulic schematics and diagnoses hydraulic issues on equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of proper installation of compactors and assists with installations as scheduled.
• Performs welding and fabrication work as needed.
• Ensures efficiencies to handle all scheduled jobs in a given day.
• Completes paperwork and enters data associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
