Overview
The Maintenance Tech III position involves repairing and maintaining equipment at a recycling facility, including heavy mobile equipment and various industrial systems. The role requires a strong background in industrial troubleshooting and maintenance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring safety.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain all recycling facility equipment including heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, ballers, and shredders.
- Install new equipment and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment.
- Perform repair work on hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and basic fabrication.
- Complete work orders and keep detailed notes of repairs performed.
- Identify necessary parts for repairs and research part/equipment replacements using computers/internet.
- Work in multiple positions, including kneeling, bending, crouching, and elevated in lifts.
- Observe all safety requirements and lead by example in working safely.
- Give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
- Work various shifts if needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by maintenance and operations management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of verifiable experience related to industrial troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and build consensus.
- Work with integrity and uphold organizational values.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Valid State Driver’s License.

- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production facility.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
