Overview

As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company owned vehicles which includes Box Trucks, Semi Trucks, passenger vans, and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary.
• Complete all necessary documents and input all required information into the fleet maintenance software.
• Respond to service repairs in the field.
• Coordinate any tows required back to the Flood Brothers shop.
• Arrange any mobile tire replacements as required.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor to complex repairs for all types of equipment.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Flood Brothers safety and maintenance policies.
• Communicate with the Operations Department regarding vehicle issues and repair statuses.
• Make and receive calls from drivers regarding vehicle issues and down vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major moving violations in the past 5 years.
• CDL not required but preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical and drug test.
• Own or possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time position that requires flexible hours with occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this critical position.
• Travel requirements are subject to change based on business needs.
