Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation blueprints.
• Setting up and using jigs and fixtures for precise part alignment.
• Operating rivet-upsetting and bench-assembly equipment.
• Applying rules, squares, protractors, and dividers to verify geometry and dimensions.
• Performing arithmetic to calculate material requirements and tolerances.
• Working to exacting tolerances for each assembly operation.

Requirements

• Twelve months previous experience in production assembly or mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly blueprints.
• Familiarity with various hand tools.
• Must pass proficiency demonstrations to retain employment.
