Sportsman Boats

Overview

We are looking for an Aluminum TIG welder who will support the manufacturing and fabrication process of Sportsman Boats with emphasis on aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Build t-tops, rod holders, leaning posts, etc. meeting high quality standards and daily production goals.
• Lay out, measure, and align metal work pieces prior to welding.
• Assess welds to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes.
• Read and interpret weld codes and blueprints.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to address issues.
• Work as a team.

Requirements

• Aluminum TIG welder knowledge and experience.
• Strong fabrication skills.
• Ability to assess metal structures to identify and initiate repair of damaged welds.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to use small tools, operating air/hand tools, welders, grinders and buffing machines.
• Close tolerance when measuring; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to comply with safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment.
• Ability to complete a weld test during our onsite interview.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
