Overview

Bloom Energy is seeking a Welder to join their team in Fremont, CA, contributing to innovative clean energy solutions. The role involves various welding tasks and responsibilities within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Work Instruction’s to determine specific welding requirements
• Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Position and clamp parts together in fixtures
• Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding
• Operate welding equipment according to operating manual
• Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner
• Operate hoist and power lift stand
• Load and unload jigs
• Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product
• Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator
• Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep
• Notify management of shop consumables to maintain inventories
• Create assembly and fabrication fixtures
• Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies
• Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1 year required experience in TIG Welding preferred
• 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands-on manufacturing practices were required
• Required experience in following required work instructions
• Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution
• Must have mechanical skills and be able to use basic shop tools and equipment

Additional Information

• Multiple shifts available: Day shift and Night shift options
• Fully on-site role in Fremont, CA
