Overview

L3Harris is seeking a TIG Welder for their night shift in Redmond, WA. The company focuses on delivering technology solutions for national security and values employee development and community commitment.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding in accordance with existing manufacturing instructions.
• Set up and operate automatic inert gas arc welding machines for longitudinal and circumferential welding of assemblies.
• Layout locations and make own setups as required.
• Weld Company products by certified processes maintaining critical alignment tolerances.
• Manually fusion weld various metals for fabrication of tooling and maintenance.
• Perform other manufacturing tasks as assigned by supervisor to achieve production requirements.
• Complete training and attend company meetings as required.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• 6+ years with G.T.A.W. experience welding hard alloys (stainless steel, titanium, Inconel and/or steel).
• Experience welding duct assemblies and controlling weld distortion and shrinkage.
• Experience reading, comprehending and using planning and drawings to meet required specification requirements.
