Overview

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Fitter/Fabricator to perform a variety of welding duties with high-quality results under limited supervision. The company is committed to workforce diversity and innovation in flow creation and life science technologies.

Responsibilities

• Weld nickel 55/45 wire to cast iron for filler applications.
• Perform welding on stainless steel (316L/304), mild steel, and stainless plate to cast iron using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding methods.
• Effectively use welding machines (MIG, Stick, TIG), plasma cutters, and air arch gougers.
• Utilize plate rollers to shape metal and operate CNC plasma tables for precise cutting tasks.
• Read blueprints to accurately lay out bolt circles, radii, angles, and other precise measurements.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position materials for fabrication.
• Pass weld certification/plate tests and adhere to industry standards for high-quality welds.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and collaborate with team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in welding, with the ability to weld stainless steel (316L/304), mild steel, and stainless plate to cast iron using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining various welding and cutting equipment.
• 2+ years of experience reading/interpreting blueprints and accurately laying out measurements.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
• At least 1 year of experience operating an overhead crane.
