Overview

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Welder Apprentice for their 2nd shift team in North Little Rock, AR. This role offers a starting wage of $21.75/hour plus a shift differential, along with day one benefits, and provides an opportunity to build a career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of welding processes within the facility.
• Complete daily builds using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and stud welding.
• Pass welder qualification tests after completing a 6-week weld school and 3 weeks of on-the-job training.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of welding fundamentals.
• Availability to work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the introductory training period.
• Welding experience or completion of a Technical or Trade School Welding Course.
• Ability to work safely and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Experience utilizing GMAW, GTAW, and Carbon Arc Gouging processes.
• Ability to complete specific weld qualification tests using 0.052” GMAW.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to work overtime to support production demands.
