Overview

The Mobile Service Technician position in New York involves responsibilities related to gas turbine powered aircraft, including technical troubleshooting, engine changes, and repairs in the field. Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of engines and related accessories in customer aircraft.
  • Present a professional image to customers and conform to manufacturer's approved modification specifications.
  • Attach Powerplant 'Quick Engine Change' components and install powerplants in aircraft.
  • Monitor tooling calibrations for equipment used in designated tasks.
  • Perform inspections following engine repairs and modifications.
  • Make airworthiness determinations and provide certification for work performed.

Requirements

  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally with peers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • A&P license with technical knowledge on specific aircraft turbine engines.
  • College degree or high school graduate with technical vocational training.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of proper hand tools.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • PC proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds independently.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Authorization to work in the US.

Additional Information

  • Travel required 70-90% of the time, including potential international travel.
