The NDT Technician role involves performing tests on industrial assets, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing and inspections on industrial assets and components.
  • Use methods such as ultrasonic thickness testing and industrial radiography.
  • Fill out a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and acquire the proper working permit.
  • Set up equipment and conduct tests while interpreting results.
  • Document findings accurately in reports and electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to identify corrosion and defects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain testing equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices.

Requirements

  • Skills in Ultrasonics for evaluating internal flaws and structural integrity.
  • Skills in Inspection and Quality Control to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Skills in assessing Corrosion to identify degradation and document findings.
  • Relevant NDT certifications such as ASNT Level I/II in UTT and IRRSP.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work in industrial environments.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training in NDT preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
