Overview

Branch Medical Group, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., manufactures a wide range of implants for spinal and orthopedic applications. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing assembly, weld, mold, and test operations on electromechanical medical devices, ensuring products meet company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, welds, solders, and tests medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Locates and corrects problems by performing visual inspection of parts.
  • Tests units using automated computerized test equipment.
  • Examines medical devices and related assemblies after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks, and/or excess epoxy.
  • Utilizes small drills, reamers, taps, and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxy.
  • Patches and repairs bubbles or voids using syringes and small tools; bakes parts to cure epoxy patches.
  • Kits, assembles, bonds, coats, and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Repairs and corrects devices and related components using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Notifies supervisor of the need to replenish supplies/materials and of any production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected.
  • Supports all Company initiatives as identified by management.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Actively participates in company programs such as 5's and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Complies with good documentation practices.
  • Adheres to the company Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations.
