Overview
An Aerospace client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join their growing team in Roswell, GA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative aerospace organization helping build a brand-new jet engine manufacturing facility that supports next-generation military UAV programs.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and repair jet engine components and systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on jet engine equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine system issues.
- Read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve testing and assembly processes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Aerospace Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field OR 3+ years of automotive assembly/manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree.
- Recent aerospace or automotive manufacturing/assembly experience (required).
- Strong understanding of aerospace or mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Additional Information
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be loud and require personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Due to the nature of the client business as a defense contractor, this position is restricted to U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders).
