The Quality Control Non-Destructive Examination Inspector Level C is responsible for performing product assessments and inspections on various components to ensure compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Participates in safety training and ensures personal safety as well as safety of co-workers.
- Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor and Leadman.
- Inspects steam and stationary components within the factory and on site.
- Inspects generator rotors and components within the factory and on site.
- Participates in workforce development to enhance skills and abilities.
- Conducts hardness testing.
- Performs visual inspections.
- Takes dimensional measurements.
- Makes visual assessments.
- Uses quality inspection measuring tools identified on skills matrix.
- Follows necessary steps per Standard and I&T Plans.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with others.
- Tracks Standard and I&T Plans and supporting QC records.
- Releases product for shipping.
- Inspects received parts in shipping and receiving.
- Sets up and operates hardness testing for Equotip.
- Sets up and operates Faro Arm and bore scope.
- Documents I&T Plans and tracks to completion.
- Demonstrates high-quality communication and work skills.
- Performs other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of technical experience with a variety of power generating equipment (steam and/or gas turbines).
- Previous quality control and/or nondestructive inspection experience is desirable.
- Significant experience working with a variety of machines and components.
- Strong math skills and ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
- Ability to use hand and automated measuring tools of various sizes and complexities.
- Ability to work independently and with others under stressful conditions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to solve complex problems.
- Ability to document and follow proper procedures and train others.

Additional Information
- Full-time onsite position at Chamblee, GA facility.
- 1st shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 6:00AM – 2:30PM ET during training.
- 2nd shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 4:10PM – 1:00AM ET after training.
- Overtime is available but not mandatory.
