Responsibilities

• Perform Aluminum MIG Arc Welding on fixtures, parts, and ramps.
• May do some TIG welding as needed.
• Read blueprints and follow job orders.
• Check blueprints and job orders before starting operations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Flip trailers with assistance to weld the other side.
• Verify specifications by inspecting completed components.
• Ensure the safety of equipment and notify management of repair needs.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.
• Recognize defective or damaged parts and verify job orders.
• Evaluate and recommend changes in methods and procedures.
• Follow directives and procedures and complete paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 6S and Kaizen events.

Requirements

• Aluminum welding experience is required.
• Must pass an aluminum weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints is necessary.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and follow job orders.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
