Responsibilities

  • Properly fit and weld components to print specifications.
  • Set-up each work piece for efficient completion.
  • Determine proper fixturing for specific jobs.
  • Maintain welding equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping and clean-up of the work area.
  • Inspect own work to ensure print specifications are met.
  • Assist Machine Shop Supervisor with work requirements.
  • Read engineering prints.
  • Make corrections to prints as needed with the Machine Shop Supervisor and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Recommend welding processes to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Read all types of micrometers and gauges to verify work against print requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Journeyman Welder preference
  • Must know MIG, TIG, and Aluminum welding
  • 3 & 4 G certifications
