Overview

DeSHAZO is a leader in the Overhead Bridge Crane design and manufacturing industry, known for creating custom-built cranes that excel in reliability. The Welder/Fabricator position involves layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel frames, requiring skills in reading blueprints and welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs.
• Arranges parts for welding and staging processes.
• Builds welded assemblies for new products and changes to existing products per engineering documents.
• Reports fabrication issues and assists in resolutions as required.
• Participates in and attends cross-functional meetings as required.
• Supports the Quality Assurance department with respect to jig & fixture evaluation.
• Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Operates other necessary equipment and performs tasks necessary to complete parts to specifications.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience fitting using MIG and Flux-core welding.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings.
• MIG / GMAW or FCAW welding experience required.
• Completion of a welding course or AWS certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing.

Additional Information

• Shift: Days (Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday as needed).
• Must be able to work 10-12hr shifts.
