At Bloom Energy, we are pioneering solutions for a world powered by clean, reliable, and affordable energy. We are looking for a Welder to join our team in Fremont, CA, to contribute to our innovative technologies in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Work Instructions to determine specific welding requirements.
• Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Position and clamp parts together in fixtures.
• Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding.
• Operate welding equipment according to operating manual.
• Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner.
• Operate hoist and power lift stand.
• Load and unload jigs.
• Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written.
• Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator.
• Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep.
• Notify management of shop consumables to maintain inventories.
• Create assembly and fabrication fixtures.
• Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies.
• Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in TIG Welding preferred.
• 2-3 years working experience in hands-on manufacturing practices preferred.
• Required experience in following required work instructions.
• Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution.
• Must have mechanical skills and be able to use basic shop tools and equipment.

Additional Information

• This is a fully on-site, in office role.
• The role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
