Overview

Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician in Ocala, FL to perform welding and fabrication functions on aluminum and steel trailers. The role requires precision and high-quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on aluminum and steel components
• Weld overhead and underneath trailers
• Read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Plan and lay out welding sequences
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales, rules, or templates
• Position and align workpieces for accurate welds
• Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment
• Measure workpieces to ensure accuracy and quality
• Perform minor machine maintenance and setup
• Observe operations to detect defects or malfunctions
• Follow all safety procedures in a manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Welding certification preferred
• DC/AC wiring skills
• Plumbing and carpentry skills a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
