Overview

AGI Hi Roller is seeking an experienced Welder II to join their production team in Sioux Falls, SD, where they manufacture premier commercial enclosed conveyors for grain handling and processing operations. The role involves building top-quality grain conveyors using MIG welding in a modern, climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company safety rules in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Set up welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse for MIG welding.
  • Fabricate complex components with minimal supervision.
  • Inspect own welds for compliance with standards.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
  • Tack assemblies together.
  • Chip off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
  • Clean or de-grease parts.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' progressive experience in welding, preferably MIG welding, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret intermediate blueprints.
  • Good understanding of welding safety and symbols.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 55 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to read and use tape measures.
