Sulzer is a leading engineering company focused on innovation. The Machinery Mechanic role involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Read job cards to determine job status and expected serviceability.
• Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot problems.
• Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identifications.
• Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed.
• Measure for or note proper replacement parts and requisition needed items.
• Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Retest reassembled electro-mechanical equipment for proper output.
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately.
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment as needed.
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
• Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects.
• Keep work area neat and clean as directed.
• Assist other mechanics or shop personnel as directed.
• Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand and perform various skill-related training and safety procedures.
