Overview

Dover Precision Components is part of Dover Corporation and specializes in delivering performance-critical solutions across various markets. The Weekend CNC Machinist role involves operating CNC machines and performing routine machining tasks on standardized parts.

Responsibilities

  • Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations.
  • Perform machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.
  • Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure.
  • Perform inspections on work-in-progress using a variety of measuring devices.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary records for each job.
  • Make jigs, fixtures, or other specialized non-production devices as assigned.
  • Perform first piece inspections for other machinists as qualified.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule.
  • Troubleshoot drawings, machining, tooling, programming, and materials.
  • Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as called out on prints.
  • Ensure proper machine set up and accurate interpretation of prints and specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some trade school or on-the-job training is required.
  • Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading is necessary.
  • 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule: Friday - Sunday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm.
  • Work arrangement: onsite.
  • Bonus eligible based on performance metrics.
