Dover Precision Components is part of Dover Corporation and specializes in delivering performance-critical solutions across various markets. The Weekend CNC Machinist role involves operating CNC machines and performing routine machining tasks on standardized parts.
Responsibilities
- Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations.
- Perform machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.
- Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure.
- Perform inspections on work-in-progress using a variety of measuring devices.
- Complete and maintain all necessary records for each job.
- Make jigs, fixtures, or other specialized non-production devices as assigned.
- Perform first piece inspections for other machinists as qualified.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule.
- Troubleshoot drawings, machining, tooling, programming, and materials.
- Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as called out on prints.
- Ensure proper machine set up and accurate interpretation of prints and specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some trade school or on-the-job training is required.
- Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading is necessary.
- 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist.

Additional Information
- Work schedule: Friday - Sunday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm.
- Work arrangement: onsite.
- Bonus eligible based on performance metrics.
