Overview

MISTRAS Group is seeking dedicated Level II Eddy Current (ET) Techs local to the Houston, TX area that are willing to travel for projects, turnarounds, and call-out as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
• Familiarize with codes, standards and contractual documents.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
• Edit and present numerical data effectively.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for UT, RT, MT or PT required.
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year experience or as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards required.
• Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred.
• Completion of a forty hour Radiation Safety Course preferred.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Demonstrate oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Consistently arrive at work on time and follow instructions.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work.
• Promote safety procedures.

Additional Information

• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs frequently for Radiography work.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required.
• May be at more than one jobsite in a day and must tolerate climate changes.
• Will be required to travel out of town as needed.
