Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled work related to the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of various systems, ensuring machinery operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatus.
• Installs and repairs various electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Uses different welding equipment for layout and fitting, including making jigs and fixtures.
• Utilizes electricians’ hand tools and measuring/testing equipment.
• Diagnoses and corrects trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
• Performs visual and mechanical inspections to maintain machinery.
• Follows preventive maintenance program and conducts regular equipment inspections.
• Performs minor and major repairs on buildings.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to equipment.
• Provides on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics.
• Contributes to continuous improvement efforts in work area.
• May be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by Team Leader.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function or equivalent related experience.
