Overview

Cat5 Resources LLC is a certified Woman-Owned Business providing technical and operational services to critical infrastructure across the Southern US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. The Field Generator Technician will install, repair, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on back-up power systems for telecommunication companies, local businesses, and emergency service personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform generator repairs of commercial generators as well as preventative maintenance.
• Perform generator troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Maintain knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend any required repairs.
• Exhibit excellent customer skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years previous experience.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have G.E.D. or High School Diploma.
• Possess basic electrical knowledge.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have a mechanical background; generator mechanics a plus.
• Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Must be computer literate, preferably in a Windows-based environment.
• Must be dependable and able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to bend and twist several times a day.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours, days, travel, and stay overnight.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and promote a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
• Possess troubleshooting skills and have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipment.
• DOT Medical Card required.

Additional Information

• Candidates must live within 60 miles of the designated location or they will NOT be considered for the position.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
