Overview

Triple-S Steel is a company with over 50 years of experience, emphasizing stability, flexibility, and chemistry in its operations. They are looking for a motivated Production Equipment Operator to execute work orders and meet customer requirements in a steel production environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times and advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Manipulate, cut and/or form raw material according to work orders.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment as assigned.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and exert necessary force to move objects.
• Maintain spatial orientation and awareness in a dynamic work environment.
• Use clear vision to judge distances and maintain awareness of ongoing activities.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attend all required company meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand work orders and receive oral instructions.
• Effective use of basic computer applications.
• Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently.
• Good knowledge of material and inventory control techniques.
• Ability to maintain inter-department communications.
