Overview

MMT is a growing precision manufacturing company located in Ramsey, NJ, seeking motivated Machinists to operate and support manual and CNC equipment in producing precision metal components. This role offers hands-on experience, real responsibility, and opportunities for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Set up machines for production runs.
• Select appropriate tooling and adjust speeds and feeds.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Record production data including quantities, downtime, and scrap.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Follow all shop safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements).
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to develop the skill.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.

Additional Information

• Full-time position.

• Non-exempt classification (overtime eligible).
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.

• Regularly required to stand and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.
