Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Metem, a GE Power business, is responsible for performing preventive, routine, and reactive maintenance tasks on production equipment, including CNC machines and various mechanical systems. Metem specializes in cooling hole technologies for the power generation and aerospace industries, focusing on increasing engine efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform predictive, preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on production equipment
- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines
- Repair, assemble and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation
- Rebuild, install, and make field repairs on centrifugal and diaphragm pumps
- Maintain motor starters, variable frequency drives, and servo controls
- Install piping, conduit, and raceway systems
- Perform facilities and building maintenance
- Document work activities using CMM
Requirements
- Associate degree or Trade School in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR a high school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 3rd shift 10pm-6am
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends, as required
- Ability and willingness to qualify for / utilize specialized personal protective equipment as required for the position
- Ability and willingness to obey all safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment
