Overview

CMC is a Fortune 500® company that specializes in construction reinforcement and steel products, offering a great opportunity for individuals to learn and grow in the steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization industries.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Lathe machine tools for precision machining.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using mathematics and instruments like micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Check output for conformance to specifications for quality assurance and maintain inventory of completed products.
  • Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and clean work station.
  • Troubleshoot work-related problems using job knowledge and communication.
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
  • Work safely by following safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Stay alert to unsafe conditions and report them immediately.
  • Responsible for daily housekeeping duties in the immediate work area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with exposure to temperature extremes, chemicals, dust, fumes, and loud noise.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dependability in attendance and flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Some overtime will be required.
