Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe, injection molding, and other semi-automated equipment.
- Run production jobs and manually adjust final products per work instructions to produce quality parts.
- Inspect product quality throughout production using various measuring tools and record inspection findings.
- Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications for machine setup and product quality.
- Perform offsets and adjustments to machine feed, speed, and axis points to maintain part specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor or major machine issues by diagnosing breakdowns and replacing defective components.
- Perform machine setups including changing fixtures, tooling bars, and loading programs.
- Conduct general machine maintenance such as cleaning and checking oil and coolant levels.
- Report accurate counts of production parts, scrap, and labor hours.
- Comply with established 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
- Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three years of related experience is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge in operating CNC, milling, grinding, or injection molding machines preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
- Ability to demonstrate basic math and computer skills and perform visual quality inspections.
- Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions.
- Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
- Ability to obtain a Klein provided crane certification may be required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed by the company is required.
