DAS Aviation is an industry-leading repair organization committed to delivering customer service excellence through a talented team. The Aircraft Structures Technician role involves performing various sheet metal operations and requires a basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft structures.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
- Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
- Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions.
- Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills.
- Communicate effectively and clearly in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License is not required, but welcome.
- Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes.
- 0-5 years of experience as a sheet metal technician for Journeyman level.
- 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal technician for Master level.
- Self-motivated team player able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
