Overview
At PEARCE, a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure, the Entry Level MCE Technician will support field work focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency, performing repairs and diagnostics on various components in the Main Component Exchange division.
Responsibilities
- Support lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250'.
- Oversee lifting operations following skills verification of large components.
- Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems.
- Operate under properly performed Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) conditions.
- Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
- Document all work in a variety of electronic formats.
- Provide feedback to the Safety and Quality department for business improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of direct product experience on one or more platforms.
- Direct turbine specific experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers.
- Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required.
- Hold specific turbine manufacture certifications.
- Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to recognize potential issues and major faults.

Additional Information
- The position is 100% travel.
- Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA safety compliance.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions.
