Overview

The Production Operator 3 - Line Leader role at Celestica involves performing moderately complex tasks related to the manufacture and assembly of products under general supervision. The position requires a solid understanding of product quality and manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand soldering and manual assembly.
• Set up, operate, and maintain custom and standard semiautomatic and/or automated assembly equipment.
• Inspect products using various inspection procedures.
• Use diagnostic programs for electronic product testing.
• Troubleshoot and communicate issues related to defects.
• Demonstrate work methods to new employees.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or equivalent education and experience.
• Specific certifications as defined by site operations.
• General knowledge of product process flow and quality specifications.
• Ability to recognize and communicate problems in the operation process.
• Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic manufacturing system knowledge.
