Overview

At Klein Tools, curiosity powers discovery and ownership inspires excellence. The Manufacturing Team Member IV position requires advanced knowledge of CNC controls and mechanics, focusing on troubleshooting and monitoring high-tech equipment while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform advanced set-ups on equipment and verify machine control settings.
  • Select, load, and test computer programs for each job and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor machine operation and check parts throughout the run for quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot problems and repair equipment as needed.
  • Perform general machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
  • Complete inspections and record findings on inspection sheets.
  • Report production counts and complete required paperwork.
  • Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and three years of experience or equivalent.
  • Metalworking or metal removal experience preferred.
  • CNC certification or metalworking/tooling certification preferred.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and perform visual inspections.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to react quickly to mechanical issues.

Additional Information

  • Walking, sitting, or standing for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy printing materials and products (up to 50lbs).
