Overview

The Material Production Operator position involves performing material production tasks using complex equipment and tools to manufacture extruded ingot materials. The role requires working on the Second Shift, with initial training on the First Shift, and is part of a company that specializes in lasers and engineered materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce extruded ingot materials for internal and external customers.
  • Operate heat treatment furnaces and sand blasting cabinets.
  • Monitor consumables and supplies for ingot manufacturing.
  • Prepare ingots and samples for testing and evaluation.
  • Cross-train for various ingot production processes as needed.
  • Support R&D in new ingot product development projects.
  • Perform accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school degree with industrial experience in metal forming methods.
  • 2-3 years of experience operating complex machinery in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to handle welding flame torch and use PPE.
  • Understanding of technical drawings and basic engineering principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Additional Information

  • Position is for Second Shift, 2:00PM – 10:30PM, Saturday – Wednesday.
  • Initial training requires availability for First Shift, Monday – Friday for four weeks.
