Overview
The Machine Operator position on the 2nd shift at Havis involves setting up and operating various machinery in the production department. Havis is a company focused on innovative mobility solutions across multiple industries, emphasizing quality and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and operate Fastener Insertion Machine
- Set-up and operate Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment
- Set-up and operate Wide Belt Sander
- Set-up and operate Vibratory Tumbling Machines
- Work at different workstations as job requires
- Receive, check and handle inventory
- Inspect parts, products and machinery for defects
- Follow all applicable Havis work instructions, policies and procedures
- Follow directions as noted on work order travelers and production drawings
- Follow verbal instructions from Production Supervisor or Lead personnel
- Process orders as dictated by the production schedule
- Perform the job function in a safe manner
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Maintain a clean safe work area
Requirements
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical certification is a plus
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Able to read and understand Engineering prints
- Is date-driven in support of production schedules
- Capable of set-up and running of complex machines
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Proficient computer skills
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations
- Good verbal communication skills
- Capable of using factory PC systems where production data is typically entered
- General knowledge of workplace safety is a plus

- Work schedule is 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday
