Overview

Atlantic Constructors is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Combo Pipe Welders/Fitters. The company has been an industry leader in the Mid-Atlantic Region for over 50 years, focusing on building a strong culture and providing comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble pipe in the field and fab shop.
• Install and maintain industrial production and process piping and welding systems.
• Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and isometric plans/drawings.
• Measure routings of pipe and fabricate to fit existing in-line piping systems.
• Plan and layout sequence of installation to avoid obstructions.
• Cut pipe using various tools including saws and cutting torches.
• Assemble, fabricate, and install metal pipe and fittings for carbon and stainless steel.
• Secure pipe to structure using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Remove slag and rough spots as necessary.
• Determine required equipment and welding method.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Work at heights without fear.
• Clean, bevel, prepare, and install pipe with fittings and weld joints.
• Perform layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings.
• Thread pipe using a threading machine.
• Assemble and install a variety of pipe and fittings using various joint methods.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
• Observe and comply with all company, safety, and project policies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with TIG and Stick pipe welding.
• Must pass ASME pipe welding test and background check.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical systems.
• Must be able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Must have means to report to multiple job sites as assigned.

Additional Information

• May work in varying temperatures and conditions.
