Austin Industrial is an industry leader in maintenance, construction, and soft craft services, providing solutions to various industrial sectors for over 60 years. The Pipe Welder position involves joining metal parts using various welding techniques and requires a Journeyman level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Join metal parts such as pipe or metal plates according to specifications.
• Weld 2" sch 10 GTAW and 2" heavy wall carbon steel GTAW.
• Weld structure and pipe using FCAW and TIG for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Unite pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas.
• Perform full penetration welds with SMAW and flux core welding applications.
• Start and complete x-ray welds using GTAW and SMAW processes.
• Check the weakness of work pieces and measure them to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain and operate welding equipment following all safety regulations.
• Perform work while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Maintain full range of mobility and perform various physical tasks.

Requirements

• Must be a Journeyman Industrial Pipe Welder with 3-5 years of experience.
• No minimum education requirements.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time job opportunity working 40 hours a week.
