Overview

CERTEX USA is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Wire Rope Assembler to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland, responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and assembling various rope products to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables.
• Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets.
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies.
• Splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings.
• Understand and operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts.
• Attach proper tags and labels to products.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Report defective or substandard material supplies or products.
• Handle shipping and receiving of goods.
• Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all safety guidelines.
• Assist with deliveries when needed.

Requirements

• Familiarity with industrial tools like cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches is preferred.
• Proficient at math and reading.
• Must be able to manage your time.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable.
• Prior experience in the construction, equipment or oil industry is preferred.

Additional Information

• This job operates in a warehouse environment.
• This is a full-time position with standard work hours of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Minimal travel is expected for this position. May be required to travel for training.
