Overview

Kelso Industries, with over 3,500 employees across 30 companies, is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join Feldkamp Mechanical. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of boiler piping and related equipment, contributing to various industrial and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipefitting tasks according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Cut, shape, and fit pipes to appropriate measurements.
• Assemble and install pipes, valves, and fixtures.
• Inspect and test installed systems for functionality and quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with piping systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain documentation of work performed and materials used.
• Inspect the workplace, clear obstructions, and prepare materials and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of hazard prevention and safety best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience as a pipefitter in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of pipefitting principles and ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds; frequently lift and carry 25 pounds; work on ladders, staging or other related equipment; and work in confined spaces.
• Must use proper LO/TO procedures and wear PPE at all times.
• OHSA 10 Certification.

Additional Information

• Relocation to Lexington, KY 40506 is required before starting work.
• Per Diem if eligibility requirements are met.
• Some job duties are performed in an office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances.
• When at a work site, exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, and outdoor weather conditions is common.
• Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office during standard business hours.
