Overview

Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company is seeking a Welder I to join their Equipment & Assembly Plant in Pittsburgh, PA. This entry-level position involves performing various welding tasks while adhering to safety and company policies, contributing to the company's mission of providing environmental solutions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company policy
• Perform material handling and movement
• Conduct tack welding and finish welding of piping systems
• Weld vessels and structural components using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes
• Inspect own work for compliance with drawings and weld procedures
• Operate fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead cranes after training
• Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred
• 2-3 years welding experience is required
• ASME code welding is preferred
• Certification to CCC procedures is required

• Work schedule: Mondays - Fridays, 40 Hrs/Wk - 3 shift operation
