Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the layout and fit of structural and miscellaneous fabricated products. The position requires knowledge of welding techniques and physical properties of metals.

Responsibilities

  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding techniques.
  • May assemble parts by bolting.
  • May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience.
  • Certification in Tack Welding required.
  • Prefer Welding Certification in 3G position.
  • Ability to read shop drawings.
  • Ability to comprehend weld procedures and weld symbols.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to see well and manipulate objects.
