Overview

The Vessel Fitter will assemble various vessel detailed parts while operating basic shop tools and ensuring proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions. Responsibilities

• Assemble various vessel detailed parts.
• Run basic shop tools including grinders, chippers, buffers, torch, overhead crane, and forklift.
• Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.
• Have general knowledge of all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of Vessel drawings.
• Bridge tack with GMAW.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Align with EFX visions and values.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or 1 to 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
• Minimum of 1 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
• General knowledge of pipe ISO’s.
• Qualified in GMAW.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping.
• Requires oversight on fitups.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Additional Information

• Industrial environment requiring standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking.
• May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
