Overview
Seeking an API 653 inspector to conduct Mechanical Integrity inspections on tanks, focusing on non-destructive testing methods and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive (NDT) testing of components and materials in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Utilize appropriate NDT methods including API 653, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections.
- Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate equipment used in non-destructive testing.
- Identify defects in materials using appropriate testing techniques.
- Complete documentation, work orders, and reporting thoroughly following established protocols.
- Drive company vehicles and maintain a safe driving record.
- Apply safety standards in the work environment and look out for crew members.
- Interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and insurability through PROtect, LLC insurance carrier.
- Certification in API 510, 570, 653 required.
- Demonstrated NDT skill, knowledge, or experience.
- Expertise in multiple NDT methods and willingness to engage in ongoing learning.
- Intermediate mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a demanding and flexible schedule, mainly 3 weeks traveling and one week off.
- Able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Additional Information
- Weekly schedule will consist of 6 10-hour shifts.
- Per Diem will be paid out for days working/traveling.
