Overview

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking an Industrial Tank Cleaner in Hammond, IN to join their safety-conscious team. The role involves supporting industrial tank cleaning operations while adhering to safety guidelines and building relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely.
• Transport, carry, and connect hoses, fittings, pumps, and other equipment.
• Monitor and operate special equipment such as pumps and breathing air equipment.
• Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices.
• Follow orders from site supervisory personnel.
• Don and doff HazMat PPE and enter confined spaces for tank cleaning.
• Perform physically strenuous duties such as removal of product or sludge while in the tank.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Refinery tank cleaning experience preferred; offshore, drilling, chemical handling, or military experience acceptable.
• Ability to work in an industrial setting such as refineries or petrochemical facilities.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions and inside confined spaces with full HazMat apparel.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid TWIC required or ability to obtain TWIC.
