Overview
The Terminal Operator position at Kinder Morgan involves performing various terminal operations related to liquid product handling of chemicals and petrochemicals, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Kinder Morgan is a large energy infrastructure company committed to providing safe and efficient energy transportation and storage services.
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions of Terminal Operations as directed by work orders and/or supervision.
- Handle liquid products through pipelines, barges, tank transfers, and other methods.
- Conduct physical gauges and side gauge readings as required.
- Perform heating functions of required products in terminal storage facilities.
- Conduct spill clean-up operations as needed.
- Perform housekeeping chores on operation activities, grounds, and buildings.
- Assist in environmental services and maintenance as required.
- Participate in company training programs and related testing.
- Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Trade school, formal training/significant work experience, or Associate's degree highly desirable.
- Experience with pipe wrenches, box wrenches, and similar tools.
- Excellent mathematical skills are required.
- Flexible schedule to work in a 24-hour operation and/or weekend/holiday work is required.
- Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to work with a team and take direction from supervisors.
- Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include walking up and down stairs/ladders, negotiating uneven surfaces, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to wear standard PPE and qualify to wear a Full Face Respirator.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check, physical, and drug screen upon offer.

Additional Information
- Overtime is voluntary but can be mandatory if there are no volunteers.
