Overview

The First Helper supports production operations by assisting operators in the safe and efficient processing of chemical products at Dover Chemical's Hammond, Indiana facility. This role is crucial for maintaining clean work areas and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in processing chemical products safely and efficiently.
• Prepare raw materials for production.
• Monitor equipment during operations.
• Handle packaging of chemical products.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Respond promptly to supervisor instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the chemical or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including overtime.
• Demonstrated history of reliable work performance.
