Porter Pipe & Supply is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift at their Hammond, Indiana location, offering a starting pay of $21–$23/hour. The role involves supporting warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and accurately receive merchandise, matching bills of lading to purchase orders.
• Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
• Process customer orders, shipping requests, and requisitions with attention to detail.
• Move and organize materials within the warehouse according to company standards.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and proper routing.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
• Keep the warehouse and office areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to safety standards and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of prior warehouse experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior forklift experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
• Positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
• Basic math skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding the essential functions of the position.

• 2nd shift starts at 3:00 PM.
• Location: Hammond, Indiana.
